Maples Cancer Care
Maples Cancer Care is a local Rotherham charity which is entirely dependent on the funds raised by volunteers, supporters and donations received.
We would be unable to provide our services and help people without the invaluable efforts of volunteers.
There are many ways volunteers can help us, every person who gets involved makes a real difference to the people attending Maples Cancer Care.
Volunteer for us
There are many reasons to get involved:
- You may have a family member who has received our service at Maples Cancer Care
- You may have friends who volunteer and are looking for an organisation to be part of
- You may be a young person looking for experience working for a charitable organisation
Organise an event
Each year we rely on people supporting us with fundraising events, this support enables us to provide our services free of charge, and ensures that people are given an early appointment at the Centre
Currently our events have included the following:
- Annual Summer Ball
- Annual Golf Day
- Race Nights
- ‘Burns’ Night
Organise an event with friends, examples are:
- Coffee morning
- Bake sale
- Half Marathon/cycle ride
- Sponsored walk
Can you help us to provide a further 180 therapies in the year ahead?
If 100 people donate £3 a month this will help us to continue our service free of charge

Can you help us reach our target of 200 members?

Leave a legacy
Did you know that large national charities receive significant income through legacies?
Leaving a gift to us, a small local cancer charity would ensure that the funds are used for local people.
